Bangor--Ashley "Ash" Edward LeBlanc, 73, passed away peacefully in Bangor, on March 9, 2020, surrounded by his loving family. He was born on January 29, 1947, in Masardis, Maine.
Ashley graduated from Presque Isle High School in 1965, and went on to study abroad earning his teaching degree from Hamilton Teacher’s College in New Zealand. After returning to Maine, he married the love of his life, Ruth and started his family. He pursued his love of learning, earning several degrees from the University of Maine system, culminating in a Masters degree in Educational Administration. He served as a principal, regional director, and superintendent in many school systems throughout Maine.
Ashley enjoyed rousing political debates with family and friends, and in recent years, started writing historical fiction as a hobby. He brought comfort to his family and friends with his humor and intellect. We will miss his love, warmth, and smile.
